Our Approach
We believe that trauma recovery is a deeply personal and somatic process. Our methods are designed to help you reconnect with your body and mind, fostering a sense of safety and well-being through specialized therapeutic techniques. We believe that healing is a unique path for each individual. On our journey together, we will help you process past experiences and find a sense of peace and well-being.
Specialized Services
We offer a range of trauma-informed therapies designed to support your unique path to healing and well-being.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy uses body‑based methods of healing to help you experience your body in the present moment. Somatic experiencing approaches support the body’s natural ability to move out of ‘stuck’ stress responses, instead of staying locked in chronic nervous system patterns. This approach includes gentle vagus nerve stimulation, awareness and tracking of body sensations, and mindful physical movement. It focuses on gently releasing traumatic energy stored in the nervous system by working in small, manageable steps (titration) and supporting the body’s natural capacity for regulation.
Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
EMDR uses gentle bilateral stimulation (eye movements, sounds, or taps), alternating between the left and right sides of your body, to help your brain reorganize painful, unprocessed memories so they feel less distressing over time. Sometimes the brain becomes overwhelmed and a traumatic experience feels ‘frozen,’ with images, thoughts, and feelings stored in the nervous system. EMDR gently ‘unlocks’ these stuck memories and supports your natural ability to heal, so you can move forward feeling less triggered or overwhelmed by your past.
